Mini Print Vending Machine
I am obsessed with mini art, it’s what I like to make and it’s also what I love to buy!
There is something so endearing about a tiny piece of art that really speaks to me… so last January I became fixated on acquiring a mini print vending machine!
The hyper fixation was real but I was still growing and developing my little business and it was a financial investment I wasn’t quite ready for… sense had overridden impluse (for once).
So, I waited and in August I had a super successful market weekend. I had set myself a sales goal and if I hit it I’d invest in the machine!
I took the plunge and man was it worth it! I gave her a glow up, spray painted her green and took her along to some of my winter markets and open studios and she was a huge success.
I illustrated some scenic mini stamp prints as the first collection, they were really sweet and I loved seeing people getting excited to use the machine and take a little piece of art away with them.
For me it’s the noise it makes when you turn the handles, it’s so nostalgic and a real novelty. I think a lot of people also like the element of surprise which is why I like to have 6 print options… so it’s really a lucky dip.
Anyway…. as of 1 week ago the vending machine will be popping up in new locations across edinburgh with different illustrations everywhere it goes!
It’s currently at Argonaut Books on Leith Walk, Edinburgh…. she’s been selling out fast so a restock is coming! Keep your eyes peeled.
