Houses in Hills
Since exploring Scotland, one thing thats always captures my eyes are the wee houses tucked away in the hills, in the middle of no where, how tiny they look against the towering mountains. How lucky someone is to call it home and have such a view out their window. You can see this in a lot of my work, the fascination with living and being in such beautifully vast landscapes. The fascination with the idea of really, truly living in and among nature. The remoteness and feeling of being so small in something so big.
It’s something I crave, perhaps one day I’ll take them plunge and move out to a wee house on an island and see what it is really like.
Until then I’ll continue to paint them and wonder.
